MISSION

While ‘ceilings’ exist in every industry, Black IP and thought leadership is, in fact, alive and well in everything from banking, consulting, tech, marketing, media & entertainment, and private equity. But the onus of equitable access and representation should not be on the shoulders of the marginalized; it is the responsibility of everyone. We each play a role in achieving this ‘No Ceilings’ vision, and BMAC is dedicated to ensuring attendees are empowered with:

Context

Understanding historically what the ceilings have been for Black professionals in business

History is vital to lay the foundation for growth; to know where you are going is to know where you are from. Thus, attendees will receive the historical context necessary to uncover the root causes of why ‘ceilings’ have been placed on Black people in society and business.

Awareness

Highlighting the Black professionals who have achieved extraordinary things despite those ‘ceilings'

Attendees will be exposed to Black stories of triumph that challenge hackneyed narratives and normalize Black excellence in the business world and beyond.

Advocacy

Empowering attendees with actions they can take to break those ceilings for ourselves and others

By exploring what realizing a ‘No Ceilings’ environment could look like, we hope to leave attendees with at least one thing they can do to help break ‘ceilings’ and make a tangible impact on making the business world more safe, equitable, and accessible.
